Hi, I’m Joy Marilie Jackson.

I'm a native New Yorker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, a Master’s Degree in Early Education and nearly 20 years of experience in education, curriculum development and leadership.

After becoming a mom, I became consumed with studying child brain development, alternative discipline and educational practices. I began sharing all that I was learning on my two instagram pages @joymarilie and @lyric_laughter_learning, hoping to connect with and open the minds of moms who looked like me.
